Dusty Pages Review: The Demon's Bargain
The Demon's Bargain is the first in the Demon's Unleashed series. The series is set in a post apocalyptic type world where technology has been knocked out and the conditions for humans have been set back to medieval type conditions. Each book begins with a little paragraph about the history of this world to set it up for you.
The Demons and the Fae have always been in a battle against each other. They need humans to feed off and not wanting to share, the Fae managed to lock the demons beneath the earth for thousands of years in nothing but darkness - making sure to keep the males and females separate just for an added kick while they were down. In 2015 after series of titanic earthquakes, floods and other natural disasters the demons broke free, found a strong hold and continued in a bitter turf war with the Fae with humans caught in the middle.
Each book in the series focuses on a demon. The first being the demon of corruption who is offered the wife of human as a means to pay his debt. He is intrigued by the cold woman deciding to accept the challenge of teaching her to feel real pleasure whilst giving him time to find out what the husband is secretly up to. It contains some very sensual love scenes, sizzling if not steaming, that make it safe for those of you who don't like too much in your face eroticism that you get with a lot of books like this. However I should warn you that the following titles to amp it up a notch or two, just to keep things interesting.
