Dusty Pages Review: Touched by Him

Aria Cason’s new life in Belize comes to an abrupt halt when a betrayal forces her to abandon her carefully laid plans. To protect a love she thought she’d never have, Aria makes an impossible decision that places her at the mercy of the man she loves, but desperately wants to hate.

Aiden Raine is determined to bury his love for Aria, but when an unexpected truth is revealed, his world once again collides with hers. As a means to an end, Aiden reluctantly enters a tenuous relationship with the one woman whose betrayal he may never forgive.

Bound by a love they never predicted - Aria and Aiden struggle to coexist in a world that seems too small. They are pulled apart by their need for control yet tormented by a passion they cannot escape.

This is the third installment in this series. It jumps right in where the second book ends so it heavily relies on you having read at least the book before it, if not the first one as well. However I suppose this is fine for something that was always intended as a serial. I might be mistaken but I also think its shorter than the others, or at least it felt that way.

The first half of the book was the predictable outcome of running off to have your billionaire boyfriends baby in secret. At lot of pissed off hurt feelings and threats. However once that was over the resolution was pretty nice. The sex is still hot and steamy, so its good to see that the mojo there isn't slacking off now its into book three.

However I disliked that the character of Nadia had to be used again for Aiden to realize what a dick he was being. The entire purpose of her being in the story seems for her to do something monumentally insane that drives the two main characters back together, putting their petty squabbles aside to clean up after her. That said, they way it ends seemed like a nice rounding off but there is a fourth book coming out - actually its in two parts (something I really hate when they do it with movies so not a big fan of someone doing it with books) but I don't know if I want to see how they manage to sabotage their HEA now. Its like enough drama people.

I give it
